What a grand thing, to be loved! What a grander thing still,
to love!
- Victor Hugo -
One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: that word is love.

About us and why we do this......
We look forward to meeting you and helping you plan your perfect day. Your wedding day is a
day you will always remember.. where you will be surrounded by all your friends and family and we hope you will consider
us friends by the time we perform your wedding ceremony.
So.....here is a little bit about us. Jeff and
I have known each other since we were in high school on Whidbey Island. We both attended college in Seattle,
dated and became engaged but didn't end up getting married. We both went on to other marriages and had families
but kept in touch through reunions and friends. We reconnected in 2002 through his 30th reunion, began dating and where married
in 2004. We now live and work in Seattle area. Most of our kids and grandkids live around us so we spend a
great deal of our time doing family things. We love to attend local sporting events, plays, concerts, to travel and experience
new adventures.
When my daughter got married I thought about hiring a wedding coordinator so I could relax and
enjoy the day, I had already planned everything I just wanted someone to be there and make sure everything went smoothly,
someone that knew all our plans and would be my back up but I couldn't find anyone like that who didn't
charge a ton of money. Her wedding went off without a hitch but I was exhausted!! The same happened with my own
wedding...I had planned everything, wrote the vows, chosen the menu, designed the invitations, hired the musicians
and done all the decorations but would have liked having someone there to make sure that everything went
smoothly. My cake was in a car accident on it's way to our wedding and didn't arrive so I had to track
down the baker, find out what happened then make other dessert plans. Having to do that took me away from
enjoying my wedding. It would have been so nice to have someone else make the phone calls and fix things! All our friends
are still talking about what a great wedding we had and most didn't even miss the wedding cake but that is the importance
of having the help of a day of event coordinator!
Over the years I have planned many weddings
and receptions and found one of the hardest parts was finding the perfect person to conduct the ceremony. Some officiants
didn't want to travel far, most seemed kinda stuffy, many were overly religious for our taste, required premarital counseling,
most didn't take much time going over the details or would allow for customized vows and most had
just a few sample ceremonies to choose from. They had all done this many times and didn't seem to understand
we had a lot of questions. I also found that I LOVE planning weddings, I love all the special details and I have
a talent for event planning. I have planned fashion shows, bridal and baby showers, fund raisers, school events, work
parties, birthday parties, organized food booths for local festivals, planned reunions and graduation parties
over the years but nothing is quit as special as planning a wedding! My husband and I both
have other full time jobs, he is a police officer and I am a nurse but we wanted something extra that we could do together that
would incorporate my love of weddings, event planning and some travel. So we became ordained ministers/officiants
through the Universal Life Church and can legally perform wedding ceremonies. Our services have become so popular that we have been turning away weddings
almost daily! In 2009
we will be expanding our business to include assistant officiants to help do weddings as well as our new home, Wild Rose,
where we will host weddings in the summer months.
